Homestead Cattery Terms and Conditions


Homestead Cattery’s Responsibilities:

Homestead Cattery will care for the welfare of the customer’s cat/s by:

(i)              providing secure accommodation, either in a single unit in our “blue” wing, “far” wing or an individual unit in our “communal” wing for every cat;

(ii)             provide suitable bedding for every cat;

(iii)            provide suitable wet food, dry food and water for every cat;

(iv)            provide a litter tray for every cat;

(v)             provide litter trays in communal areas;

(vi)            provide extra services for brushing of cat/s and administering of certain medications (extra charges & limits apply);

(vii)           monitoring each cat for signs of distress or illness and take action if necessary.

While every care will be taken, the Homestead Cattery accepts no responsibility for injury, loss or death of any cat through escape, sickness or any other cause.

Bookings:

Bookings may be made by phone call, text message, email or via the Homestead Cattery’s official website. All booking requests are pending until a confirmation email or text message has been sent to the customer. Homestead Cattery reserves the right to refuse a booking request. Bookings for peak periods of 1st December until the end of February and all public holiday weekends require full payment in advance to secure your booking. At all other times of the year, payment must be made on drop off or pick-up. EFTPOS is available.

 

Cancellations:

Peak periods of 1st December until the end of February and all public holiday weekends:

Any cancellations made within 28 days before the start of a stay will be refunded 50%. Cancellations made within 14 days before the start of a stay will not be refunded. Early returns and/or pick-ups will still be charged at the full term stay rate. No discounts or refunds will be provided.

Non-peak periods:

Cancellations will be refunded in full if payment has been made in advance.

 

Conditions of Entry:

All cat/s entering the cattery buildings must be fully vaccinated. Proof of current vaccination must be supplied before entry. Entering the Homestead Cattery grounds and buildings is at the customer’s own risk. All persons entering the grounds and buildings of the Homestead Cattery automatically agree to comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures of the Homestead Cattery, including any/all verbal instructions from Homestead Cattery staff. Failure to comply with Health & Safety policies and procedures may result in loss or injury. The Homestead Cattery is under no obligation to compensate a customer for any loss or injury resulting from non-compliance. Strictly no entry into the cattery accommodation areas unless accompanied by cattery management or staff.

 

Emergency:

If the physical health of the customer’s cat declines while in the care of Homestead Cattery, the Homestead Cattery will make every effort to contact the customer by phone, text or email. If contact with the customer cannot be made within 30 minutes, Homestead Cattery reserves the right to seek veterinary attention for the cat, either at the customer’s nominated veterinary practice or a veterinary practice nominated by Homestead Cattery, namely:

·       Valley Vets – Ashhurst

·       Cahill Animal Hospital – Palmerston North

·       Massey University Veterinary Hospital – Palmerston North

·       Totally Vets – Feilding

Homestead Cattery will continue to attempt to contact the customer throughout any medical intervention event. Homestead Cattery reserves the right to pass on to the customer any extra charges incurred in the event the customer’s cat requires medical attention.

Disclaimer:

Homestead Cattery reserves the right to refuse a booking request. Homestead Cattery reserves the right to transfer any cat to another unit if it is deemed the cat would fare better emotionally and physically in another unit. Daily rates and extra charges may be reviewed and increased without notice but will be made available to the customer at the time of booking. Homestead Cattery reserves the right to refuse entry into the cattery:

(i)              any cat not fully vaccinated – proof of current vaccination must be supplied before entry;

(ii)             any cat not securely contained in an appropriate transport carrier;

(iii)            any cat deemed to be unwell that has not already been assessed by a veterinary practitioner;

(iv)            any customer not complying with the Homestead Cattery’s Health & Safety policies and procedures;

(v)             any customer behaving in a threatening or dangerous manner.
